Centered around our battle tested X5 mountain hub from the popular Heist wheelset we created the X5 CL hub, because Center Lock has seen strong adoption on the road. This wheelset uses double butted spokes to save weight and is finished with a deep 27mm rim for enhanced wheel stiffness and power transfer. A wide 19mm internal rim width insures optimal tire profile even for wider gravel and CX tires. The wheelset come tubeless ready with tape and valves installed and is available in all axle configurations.

We’ve upgraded our venerable EA90 SL wheels, dropping weight and increasing strength. Now, for the first time, Easton is making a tubeless ready wheelset. This allows for durable Sapim straight-pull spokes with standard nipples, enhancing durability and reducing the need for proprietary parts. A completely redesigned rim features a category-leading 19.5mm internal rim in a deeper and stiffer 27mm blunt shaped rim that borrows from our aerodynamic Fantom shape. Finally, these battle-tested wheels are centered on our award-winning Echo hubs. This wheelset is completely hand-built and acoustically tuned using Easton’s painstaking wheel building methods.

Our Easton Overland team and SDG Muscle Monster team riders have put these wheels to the test, racing prototypes at DK200, with Amity Rockwell taking the DK Queen title and Amanda Nauman finishing 6th, while at Lost and Found 2019 Michael Van Den Ham came in 4th and Craig Richey took 6th.
